Local crafts

All our souvenirs are hand made from natural materials like olive wood and stone.  

 

The items made from olive wood are individually crafted from ancient wood and then polished by a young Croatian couple, Mirjana & Marko, who started their family business ten years ago from the nearby village of Pirovac.

 

 

Some of the larger items take two to three days to make and the ancient olive wood has to be sourced locally from dead trees whose interior structure and form are not discovered until the selection cutting process  begins.
